Early Year Practitioner jobs at Netherthong pre-school

Early Years Practitioner - 30+ hours

Applicants will ideally be qualified to NVQ Level 3 or equivalent or working towards this qualification and have experience of working with 2-5 year olds. We would also consider supporting the right candidate through Level 3 training. We offer a friendly and experienced staff team with lots of knowledge to pass on to the right candidate, along with the company of many lovely children to brighten your days!

Applicants will be required to communicate effectively with children ages 2-7 years and their parents, and must have a strong ability to work as a team member. Training will be provided on all relevant policies and procedures within our setting, including Paediatric First Aid, Safeguarding, Food Hygiene and The Prevent Duty.

The successful candidate will be required to work as part of the preschool team to provide safe, high-quality education and care of young children and to take on a key person role at our setting which involves establishing good relationships with an identified group of children, scaffolding family relationships, recording observations to monitor progress including identifying next steps.

A DBS service check will be required for this position. A conviction may not exclude candidates from appointment but will be considered as part of the recruitment process. Any job offer will be conditional and be subject to the receipt of two satisfactory references.

The role is for 30+ hours per week term time, to be discussed at interview. The pre-school and out of school club is open Monday to Friday 7:45am-5:45pm, and hours could change termly with good notice depending on intake and ratios of children, keeping within your contracted hours and the opening hours of our setting. We also run a holiday club for children aged 2-7 so hours would potentially be available during the holidays too. The salary is competitive (£11.44 - £12.08ph) dependent upon qualifications and experience. We also would consider applicants wanting part time hours/job shares.

SEN Support jobs at Netherthong pre-school

SEN Support - 21+ hours

Netherthong Pre-School & Out of School Club are looking to recruit an SEN Early Years Support, for a few identified children needing 1-1 SEND support at our setting. We aim to provide a nurturing environment for all children and staff with wellbeing at the centre of our practice and ensure that all children have their needs met to thrive. We are looking for someone who is passionate and enthusiastic about early years and looking to make a difference in young childrens lives by providing unique learning opportunities tailored to childrens individual support plans.

Applicants must be qualified to NVQ Level 2 or above and ideally have experience of working with 2-4 year olds with additional needs, however training and support can be provided for the rightcandidate. We offer a friendly and experienced staff team with lots of knowledge to pass on, along with the company of many lovely children to brighten your day!

Staff listen well to the children and take account of what interests them. Children enjoy learning about what changes occur as we move into autumn. They delight in exploring their environment and observing as the leaves change in colour and fall from the trees.
